I have very little other information than that other than Maria was probably born in the late 1800s. I would very much hearing from anyone with information. Thank You, Lea Simitz Buzby

Uli WidmaierUWIDMAIER@PATTISHALL.COM
Relationship: I'm not related to the Lederer family, but I spent much of my childhood in Geradstetten and knew many Lederers and Palmers. My grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Haag, lived in Geradstetten since the late 40s. My grandfather, Hermann Haag, was a dentist there until his retirement in 1980. He passed away in 1996. I'm sure that the Lederers and Palmers who still live in Geradstetten know his name; he probably took care of the teeth of most peope living in Geradstetten at one time or another. My grandparents' home on Kochgasse 11 is now sold (my grandmother now lives in a retirement home in Munich), and I have no more connections to my beloved Geradstettn, so I'm happy to find this website of a family that traces its history back to this beautiful place and still has so many members living there.

She married Simon Mann and lived in Philadelphia for the rest of her life. She had many children including my great-great grandfmother Julia Mann. Rosa's parents' were Babette & Sigmund Lederer. The most enduring remembrance of my grandfather was that he had instilled a tremendous sense of family togetherness in all his children. My uncles, ( His sons) treated me as if I were their son. There was a bond of closeness that I will always remember to my dying day. Rest in Peace my Darling Grandfather!

Relationship: I was surfing about geneology and came across a very well documented Lederer page. Some of the names on the web site seemed quite familiar, but I doubt we have any relation. But ya never really know. My family, as far as I know, is originally from Baltimore Maryland. My father's namewas John (Jack) Palmer Lederer (1913-1983). He was a truck driver and Milk Deliverer (gotta get the double ER in there). My brother's name is Harry Lewis Lederer (1950- ) Postal supervisor. My father's mother's name was Bessie Hines. His father's name escapes me except it ended in Lederer. I was always under the impression that our family originated in Bremerhaven, Germany. I have two sons...Alexander Rand (1990- ) and Ryan Palmer (1993 - ). The names in our backgrounds are quite close...John, Palmer, Lewis but I doubt it...But ya never know.
